Maybe you don’t have one, or it’s just too much work or expense to keep one at home? Well, the public school has a wonderful garden that welcomes those wishing to spend time in it, and every Friday until August 24 anyone who would like to commune with Mother Nature at its finest is invited to the school garden!
Parents, kids of all ages, friends, garden enthusiasts young and old, garden novices or anyone who just enjoys being outside and getting their hands dirty are invited to join the public school garden keeper, Chelsea Cates on Fridays in the school garden throughout the summer any time between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. You don’t have to arrive at the beginning or stay the full time. Spend as much or as little time as you wish. Some days will include making garden art, reading circles, helping with garden projects or just digging, weeding, sowing and reaping. A light lunch will be prepared from items in the garden (donations accepted) or you may bring something to eat and/or share.
Our school garden can make your wish come true!
