||| FROM OLIVER GROENEWALD for WILD ISLAND RESTAURANT |||

After our 3rd weekend, we love seeing new regulars at Wild Island; this is so sweet, thank you for being with us. Talking about regulars, we are welcoming John Stowell and Paul Gabrielson back for this week, July 20-22. We performed together in our first year and also recorded a couple of tunes in the Octagon.

John is touring extensively around the world. His duo with bass player David Friesen was on the road for 7 years. In 1983, John and David joined flutist Paul Horn and Paul’s son Robin Horn (on drums) for a historic tour of the Soviet Union. Paul is a Seattle native, lived in New York for many years, recorded and performed with the who’s who in the jazz scene and toured the world for 34 years with the Kingston Trio. Paul also had the opportunity to perform with songwriter Tom Paxton, The Limelighters, and rock icons Steve Miller, The Tubes and Maria Muldaur.

The concerts are sponsored by Wild Island restaurant and free to all, contributions to the tip jar are highly appreciated. You’re welcome to bring your blanket or lawn chair too. Enjoy! Click HERE to view the full season calendar.
