Monday, July 8-29, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Senior Center
— from Lena Kassa for Orcas Senior Center —
Every person has a story. Every life is a collection of experiences, memories and opportunities; of love, loss, regret and adventure. The people of Orcas are no exception. What happens to those stories when you’re gone?
Diana Craig will be offering a four-week workshop to encourage and support your story-telling. The writing workshop will meet at the Orcas Senior Center on Mondays from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. starting July 8 and ending July 29. All sessions will be in the conference room. Everyone is welcome to attend. The cost for all four sessions is $15 to members of the Orcas Senior Center and $20 for guests. (Join the senior center at the first workshop and save $5.)
Whether you grew up here, vacationed here or retired to this gem of the San Juans, you no doubt have a story to tell. The class will explore a few key questions to unlock your literary muse:
- How was it ‘back in the day?’
- How has it changed?
- How have you changed?
- What brought you here?
- What brought you back?
- What keeps you here?
If you’ve ever wanted to write your stories down, then this workshop is for you!
