— from Ken Balcomb, Center for Whale Research —

On May 10, 2017 the Center for Whale Research is joining more than one thousand nonprofits in raising money to help make Greater Seattle a stronger, more vibrant community for all.

This is the first year the Center will be participating in Give Big, and we are counting on all of you to make it a success. The Center for Whale Research has been studying the endangered Southern Residents for longer than anyone, but even with 40 plus years of research, we are only half way to our goal. To truly understand the life history patterns of the Southern Residents and the factors affecting their survival we need to keep the study going.

Many thanks to all of you are members and supporters of the Center. We appreciate you and we need your help now more than ever. Help us with Give Big on May 10 and ensure that the world’s longest study of marine mammals doesn’t get cut short.

Three ways you can help:

  1. Mark your calendar for May 10, 2017 and bookmark this giving link: www.givebigseattle.org/CenterForWhaleResearch
  2. Please make a donation to support us on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. If you can’t participate on May 10, you can give early starting on April 27.
  3. Help us spread the word! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Follow the hashtags #GiveBIG.

Now More Than Ever.
