Wednesday, March 7, 1 – 2 p.m., The Whale Museum

— from Tracie Merrill for The Whale Museum —

The Whale Museum (TWM) is holding one final open house this year for anyone interested in volunteering with TWM’s Education Department. The open house event will be held on the following date and times: Wednesday, March 7 1 – 2 p.m.

If you have some spare time and are interested in our marine ecosystem, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Education Department staff will be available to discuss volunteer opportunities and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

On-site volunteer opportunities include becoming a docent to educate visitors and youth about marine mammals as well as serving as preschool and elementary teaching assistants. No experience is necessary – training will be provided! Scheduling can be flexible although most school groups typically visit the museum from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. on weekdays so that would be the time(s) of most need.

For more information, email Tracie Merrill, TWM’s Education Curator, at tracie@whalemuseum.org or call (360) 378-4710 ext. 23.
