Community Foundation First Friday Open House from 5-7 PM. This is an informal gathering where folks can learn more about OICF and express their community concerns. Orcas Center Art Exhibit “Is It Art?” will offer a very broad range of media, subjects and artistic approaches, with particular emphasis on the work of artists who have chosen to pursue experimental or less-traditional avenues of expression.Opening Reception at 5:30 p.m. in the Madrona Room.

“Orcas Has Talent!” Competition sponsored by Orcas Island Prevention Partnership, 7:30 p.m. at Orcas Center. Portofino Pizzeria is providing a delicious pizza, fresh green salad, and foaccia bread at the Orcas Has Talent preshow dinner at 5 p.m. at the Orcas Center for 60 show goers. Tickets must be purchased a week in advance of the show at Darvill’s where OHT tickets are on sale or by calling 376-2596 and leaving a message.
Sunday, February 6
Salish Sea Early Music Festival “Scottish and Irish Baroque and Russian Guitar” 1:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall at 112 Haven Road in Eastsound, and on San Juan Island at 7 p.m. at St. David’s Church at 760 Park Street in Friday Harbor.
