||| FROM DAVID TURNOY |||
April 19 is another national day of action to protest the madness being propagated by our national government. The Friday Harbor Indivisible group is holding a march that day, and we on Orcas will march to express solidarity with the rest of the country and to foster our own sense of community.
We will meet at the Village Green at 2:00 on Saturday, April 19, then we will march on the sidewalk around Eastsound. We encourage you to bring signs to carry and to get to know others while walking.
Hoping to see you next Saturday at the Village Green at 2:00.

April 19
Beside the bridge that spanned the flood,
To Aprils breeze their flags unfurled,
The embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.
Ahh – Patriots celebrating their rights – not to be found elsewhere

Glad to see we’ll be doing some marching this time, not just standing around and listening to speeches and protest songs.
Will there be any time at the Green before or after the walk that mobility impaired folks can also participate in?
