After 14 years, Wally Gudgell leaves the SeaDoc board

From the SeaDoc Society (seadocsociety.org)

Wally Gudgell, one of SeaDoc’s founding board members, has recently stepped down from the Board of Directors.

Gary Davis, SeaDoc Board Chair, says:  “The SeaDoc Society is a group of people passionately committed to improving the health of the Salish Sea by asking strategic questions, developing the science needed to make critical decisions, and engaging local communities to make a difference in people’s lives. Wally Gudgell helped to envision this organization, to organize it, and to get it off the ground.

“Wally has been one of SeaDoc’s most effective champions for over a decade, and as we move on we will miss Wally’s energy and enthusiasm for new ideas, his knowledge of the San Juan Islands, and his wit. However, his passion for the mission remains as strong as ever, and we will continue to count him among the SeaDoc Society’s founding family and champions.”
