The Emmanuel Community outdoor summer labyrinth on the lawn is now open to all — 24/7.
Emmanuel Community Labyrinth on the Lawn is a medieval, 7-circuit, Chartres-style labyrinth.
Deep concerns and fears abound about the ultimate catastrophic effects this Gulf of Mexico oil gush has had and will continue to have on all of creation, sea creatures and humans alike.
So, with this in mind, commencing this Saturday, May 29 and ending Tuesday, June 8, we dedicate all labyrinth walks to the heart of our Earth, The Ocean, whose heart is breaking apart, piece by piece and affecting us all.
Come at your convenience during this period and dedicate your walk to the healing of the ocean. June 8 is World Ocean Day and the Emmanuel/Community Labyrinth Dedication Walks has registered with this project.
Information about World Ocean Day may be found at www.theoceanproject.org/wod/ .

Nancy, you make me smile. It is so wonderful that you’ve arranged this. Thank You! I would just add that even though the dates are a trifle off, in celebration of “World Ocean Day” and the 100th birthday of Jacque Cousteau, local “Blue Marbles” afficianos, WSU Beach Watchers and others, plan a salute to the SEA and a “Happy Birthday Jacque” happening on Saturday, June 12 at 1:20-2:00 – on the waterfront across from The Outlook.
The Odds will be there along with the “Earth Ball”. Everyone is invited to come on down to the beach to sing “Happy Birthday Jacque” and contribute in any way to our heightened ocean consciouseness. Poems, readings, songs, etc. are most welcomed! (I love this Island!)
