The photographs of Orcas Island photographer Thom Carnevale will be on display at the Washington Federal Bank Branch (WAFD), in Eastsound, today through Mid-June.
Ansel Adams once said, “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
With a Kodak Brownie Camera in a Colorado sidestep, I began a journey that would take me across the globe, seeking unseen instants; a sauntering dance, a prologue to life filled with mystery, cognizant of silence and solitude etched in the envelopes of a sojourner mind.
Join the Orcas leg of the journey as I present an exhibition of photographs, the ambient sounds of nature, the hidden mysteries of island life.
