Last Monday a debate took place between the two candidates for the San Juan Island council seat, Ryan Palmateer and Christine Minney. It was hosted by the Huddle group of Lopez Island. There were many excellent questions asked, with one candidate showing broad and deep knowledge and the other showing little awareness of the issues.
