The Eastsound Post Office is getting a new vestibule. Every winter, the double doors take a beating from southerly winds. They can whip out of patrons’ hands, the mounting hardware can twist, and sometimes the glass breaks. Often, the doors must be tied shut to try to prevent damage.
The current construction project will create a covered vestibule open on the east and west sides, with a large window in the middle of the south side.
We hope that this will shield the doors from damaging wind and make the building easier for customers to access. If all goes according to plan, the construction should be done by the end of next week.
We apologize for any inconvenience to businesses and customers during this time. Thank you for your patience. Please direct questions to Karen Speck at Cherie Lindholm Real Estate 376-2204.
