Sunday, February 22, 11:30 a.m., Benson Hall (Emmanuel Episcopal Church)
— from Suzanne Olson —
A presentation with a taste of the fun curricular activities and discussion with Suzanne Olson, Sandi Burt with activities led by OWL students.
Please see below for some food for thought on this topic:
OWL Assumptions:
- All persons are sexual.
- Sexuality is a good part of the human experience.
- Sexuality includes much more than sexual behavior.
- Human beings are sexual from the time they are born until the time they die.
- It is natural to express sexual feelings in a variety of ways.
- People engage in healthy sexual behavior for a variety of reasons including: to express caring and love, to experience intimacy and connection with another, to share pleasure, to bring new life into the work, and to experience fun and relaxation.
- Sexuality in our society is damaged by violence, exploitation, alienation, dishonesty, abuse of power, and the treatment of persons as objects.
Note: NO Potluck afterwards this time (but it would be great if a few of us could bring some cookies for the kids!)
Please let us know if you need a ride – or have any other needs that the Fellowship may be able to help with. Kathy Hendrickson is our Caring Coordinator. Contact her (hendricksonk14@gmail.com) when you need a hand.

This is the kind of knowledge I wish I had been able to have as I was growing up. It would have made my life much easier.
Suzanne and Sandi are doing a great job in coordinating and presenting this excellent program for middle school age adolescents in our community. In fact, there were more young students who wanted to participate in the OWL program this year, than Suzanne and Sandi could take in.
