OPALCO Joint Utility Relocation Efforts
The project includes pedestrian and accessibility improvements, transportation infrastructure, storm drain infrastructure, water quality improvements, landscaping, lighting, and consideration for other streetscape amenities.
- Project Plans have been finalized by the County and are currently being reviewed by WSDOT for approval.
- The County is expecting to solicit bids for construction this May.
- The Project Plans currently require the Contractor to complete all subsurface work prior to the upcoming Winter season.
- The Project Plans also currently provide for a winter suspension of work if the Contractor’s schedule of work and weather conditions require final roadway paving in Spring 2022.
- Utility relocation efforts, coordinated by OPALCO, including trenching and installation of conduit within the roadway are
complete.
