Island Health offers a class for new or expecting grandparents
If you are a grandparent to young children or an expecting grandparent, join Childbirth Educator Teri Shilling on Tuesday, February 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fidalgo Room at Island Health. Learn what has changed and what has stayed the same in childbirth, infant care and early development. Car seat safety will be addressed. Registration is required. Island Health hosts car and booster seat clinic
Safe Kids Northwest is hosting a free car seat clinic on Thursday, February 9 from 12–2 p.m. Learn how to properly install and use your car or booster seat. Located in the 24th Street parking lot of Island Health, Anacortes. Face masks are required (children under two exempt). Vehicles limited to four family members. Appointments are required; email CarSeatsNW@gmail.com to schedule.
Island Health offers Saturday childbirth education class
Island Health is offering a one-day Childbirth Education class designed to prepare parents-to-be for the arrival of their new baby. Saturday, February 11 from 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. in the Fidalgo Room at Island Health. Classes are taught by Teri Shilling, MS, LCCE, CD(DONA), IBCLC. Cost is $95 and is covered by Apple Health.
