The headlines are filled with the consequences of Climate Change: warming oceans, hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, and floods. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) underscores the urgency of significant climate action within the next decade, emphasizing that Climate Change poses an imminent threat to our planet. Millions of individuals worldwide are actively engaged in climate solutions, and it is imperative that we all contribute to altering our current trajectory.

The Madrona Institute and University of Washington Friday Harbor Labs is proud to elevate these conversations through the 2023 Climate Solution Speaker Series. This series will focus not only on identifying the problems but also on presenting viable solutions that span from the federal level to individual households, all aimed at drastically reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

To further minimize carbon emissions associated with travel and foster local community engagement in climate solutions, Lopez Island will host live streaming events of these speaker series at the Lopez Island Library. If you or your organization are interested in hosting similar live streaming events, please reach out to info@madrona.org to be featured on our website at www.madrona.org.

To secure your spot, please RSVP and register today! Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with cutting-edge climate solutions and help shape a sustainable future for our communities.
