Two Room School will appear at Agave Restaurant on Saturday, Dec. 1

By Kathy Lunde

Please join us Saturday, December 1 as Agave Restaurant in Eastsound welcomes Two Room School, traveling all the way from Shaw Island!  This talented group of young musicians is drawing rave reviews from our local professionals:

The future of the San Juan’s music scene, but already great entertainment – a must see.” — JP Wittman

“They are way too young to play and sound this good. They’re amazing.” —Gordon Koenig

One of my favorite bands in the San Juan Islands.” —Bruce Harvie

“Pure enjoyment from great kids and phenomenal talent!” —Anita Orne

Adriena Clifton is 14 years old and began playing guitar when she was five years old, and has been singing for as long as she can remember! She has attended Voiceworks and Fiddletunes. When she is not singing or playing music, you will find her…ummm…. singing or playing music!

Kendra Clifton is 13 years old, she has been playing mandolin for two years, and violin for four years. She also plays ukulele and guitar, as well as playing classical violin with Island Sinfonia. As a lover of cowboy boots, she is always on the lookout for more!

Leah Black is 11 years old, in the past few years she has picked up many instruments; ukulele, banjolele, tenor banjo, 5 string banjo, guitar, and percussion. She is a very determined musician, and recently when she had a broken hand, she continued to play!

Per Black is 13 years old and first started playing bass on one, now retired, bass named Betsy. He also plays guitar and ukulele. At a recent gig, he was given a 50-year old pair of cowboy boots, so that he could match the rest of the band.

The music begins at 6:30 pm, reservations are recommended by phoning 376-1422.
