Two great bands will be stopping on Orcas as part of their Washington tour to play one night at the Orcas Grange on Thursday March 23rd at 7pm.

Tangled Up in Blue, known as “TUIB” is Yale University’s premier American folk singing group. They have a repertoire that ranges from the bluegrass tunes of the Appalachians to traditional Irish ballads, the folk-rock hits of Bob Dylan, to the jams of Valerie June and Brandi Carlile. A group of 14  select performers, they sing four-part folk harmonies, accompanied by guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo.

The Litch Brothers are a progressive bluegrass group that draws on traditional influences, with each band member bringing their own unique musical voice. Consisting of brothers Tashi and Kaj Litch, with Evan Snoey and Ben Lewis, on a combination of mandolin, guitar, fiddle, bass and vocals, the band delivers an eclectic mix of original music, traditional tunes and songs, and folk inspired covers.

Tashi and Kaj were raised on Orcas Island, performing as their duo “Brograss”, they are excited to be performing on Orcas as part of a March Washington tour, and look forward to seeing friends and familiar faces.

Tickets are available in advance at Darvill’s and on the door on the night. Pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $20.  Seating is limited so get your tickets early for this exciting night of music.
