St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshall Lou Milligan joins in song with Tony Lee at a raising of the glass ceremony following the parade on March 16.
And so the St. Paddy’s Boyos wound up at the Lower to wet their whistles and warm their spirits after the 11:30 a.m. parade through a wildly wet Eastsound on Saturday, March 16.
Accompanying Lou Milligan as Grand Marshall of the traditional parade, Tony Lee broke out in “Danny Boy” and other rousing and lyrical Irish tunes followed.
Then the sun broke through.
A thousand thanks to all who showed up for the parade on Saturday. ‘Twas pretty much like Ireland with the soft rain. Special thanks to Patty Monaco who made the Grand Marshall sign for Lou Milligan, and to Mike Lawless for hosting another great craec and Session with the fiddles, flutes, pipes, banjo, concertinas, guitars, mandolin, Irish bouzouki and bodhrans.
