From the Friends of Moran State Park
The Steve Braun Memorial Triathlon will take place this Sunday, September 2. Friends of Moran would like to remind you to drive with caution as athletes will be on the county road by 9:10 a.m. heading towards Doe Bay.
Athletes bike from Cascade Lake in route to Doe Bay onto Point Lawrence Road and turn around at the intersection of Sea Acres/Alderbrook Lane to bike back to Cascade Lake in Moran State Park.
We expect to have 10-13 road safety signs in place Sunday morning. We hope you’ll support the athletes by passing with care and watch for oncoming traffic. We ask our athletes to do the same.
There are already bicyclists throughout the island, on the roads. Watch especially on the no-sight curves….
