It was such a nice fantasy for a few months — to not have to ever change our clocks around twice a year — as we waited for the Washington State Legislature to pass SB5511, concerning uniform standard time for the state of Washington.
State Senate Bill 5511 was introduced by Senators Honeyford, Hasegawa, Lovick, Padden, Wagoner, and J. Wilson on December 7, 2021 and first read on January 10, 2022 when it was referred on January to the Committee on State Government and Elections. From there, it went nowhere. A public hearing was held by that committee on January 12, 2022.
So, here we are, once again, changing our clocks back tomorrow.
Next legislative session, perhaps we should consider lobbying our legislators to enact this new law. Meanwhile …

We are not changing our clocks ‘back’ tomorrow. We are changing them ‘forward’ – just know someone is going to misread what you meant and be two hours late for work!

When every time change comes around, I wish the same thing. More study about why nothing happens is needed, plus more lobbying from voters

The US Senate just passed a bill to make Daylight Saving Time permanent. That would mean very long, dark winter mornings here.
