There is still room for more participants in the classes and delicious Farm to Table dinner at Red Rabbit Farm this coming Sunday, October 6, for “Going Whole Hog!”

Net proceeds from this great Island experience are graciously being donated by Bruce and Christina Orchid to the Orcas Island Farm to Cafeteria Program!

Join Chef Christina for just specific events or a whole day of culinary and farm events centered on pigs and pork and the Farm Olympics.

Classes in butchering (10am), roasting (12:30pm) and preserving (2:30pm) pork will culminate in a mouth-watering pig roast at 4:30pm!  Participate in Farm Olympics (hay bale lifting; pail carrying…) throughout the day.

Classes are  $30 each – Dinner is $60 – or if you’re feeling really hardy, do the Whole Hog (all day, all events for just $100 ($150 value.)

Tickets may now be purchased online through the Orcas Island Education website.  Go to www.oief.org and click on “events” to reserve your Whole Hog experience!
