||| FROM LYNN BAKER for ORCAS CHORAL SOCIETY |||
Come for the singing and holiday cheer! The Orcas Choral Society will carol Eastsound this holiday season in several free events. We
invite everyone to enjoy the music and sing along!
Carols are such a joyous part of the holiday,” said Marianne Lewis, Artistic Director. “We’re thrilled to be singing together again for our community.”
Orcas Choral Society members will sing this season at:
- Eastsound Christmas Tree Lighting on the Village Green: 3:30-5 p.m., Saturday, December 4.
- Orcas Island Community Church, by the Nativity Scene: Saturday, December 11, 7 p.m. The church will provide cocoa and cookies.
- Island Market front walkway: Thursday, December 16, 3 p.m. For safety, all performances are outdoors. Singers will be masked and are vaccinated to protect everyone against COVID-19.
“While we can’t safely give our regular holiday concert at the Orcas Center this year, we can share some much-loved music and make merry,” Lewis said. “We hope to help make your season bright.”
The group will sing choral arrangements of holiday classics, and will invite audience members to sing along on favorite carols. Song sheets will be provided.
Happy Holidays from the Orcas Choral Society!
