Housing Bank Commission meeting 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Orcas Hotel.  Community-wide affordable housing planning project with a group of citizens from several islands and multiple segments of the community to discuss the planning project. The Housing Bank Commission has been invited to attend. The HBC will not chair the meeting and no regular business of the HBC will be conducted.

All-School Spelling Bee Championship 9:45 a.m. in the cafeteria at Orcas Island School. Public is welcome to attend.

Day Breaks over Dharmsala, A Memoir of Life Lost and Found reading by Janet Thomas at Darvill’s Bookstore at 7 p.m.

“Tapping into Mental Clarity” free workshop with Nancy Southern from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Orcas Island Public Library.

The Haute Dogs at the Lower Tavern, starting at 9 p.m. The Haute Dogs are Al Bentley on saxophone and tightrope, Tony Carpenter on bass and carpet, Randy Jezierski on drums and ibuprofen, Randy Smith on guitar and time, and Bruce Harvie on strings and things. A going away party for Tony, who will be heading out to drive his truck cross-country.
