||| FROM LIN MCNULTY, theORCASONIAN EDITOR |||
Just a quick note from me, not the usual headlines.
This site has always been a labor of love, meant to keep our community informed and connected. I do it because it matters, and I know many of you feel the same. But here’s the thing: keeping it running — the hosting, the upkeep, the hours of work — takes real resources.
That’s where you come in.
If you’ve found something valuable here — a headline that made you think, a story you wouldn’t have seen elsewhere, or just the comfort of knowing this site exists — would you consider supporting it? Even a small amount makes a big difference.
Think of it like tossing a log on the fire: every bit helps keep it burning bright for everyone.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for being part of this little corner of the internet. You’re the reason it works.

Thanks for all that you do Linn. The Orcasonian, (continuing in your hands) is a great asset to our community–

What Lin does is more than a labor of love. The Orcasonian has grown from a strictly Orcas focus to a daily news source, discussion forum and vital link for the entire county–and all Gratis! Like NPR and our local NPR stations, there’s no paywall–it’s free for all in the virtual airspace. Like many of you, I read it daily and learn from your contributions. So, as darkness falls, join me in thanking Lin and pitching another little log on the fire.
