Camp Orkila Fall Festival and Haunted Hayride.Fall Festival from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Big Red Barn for climbing the wall, bow and arrow practice at the archery range, pumpkin carving, face painting, cider pressing, and other fun games .Hot dogs and hot apple cider to eat.

Kiddie Hour Haunted Hayride from 6:30-7:30, bring the little ones for a low-key tractor tour around the farm, with just a dash of Halloween surprises.

Great Expectations at the Orcas Center 7:30 p.m. Orcas Center partners with the Seattle Book-It Repertory Theatre in a dramatic staging of Charles Dickens’ classic, Great Expectations. Directed by Book-It’s co-artistic director Jane Jones, this production will be showcased on Orcas Island with local actors before moving to Seattle.  Tickets: $16, $12 (Orcas Center members), $8 (students). 376-2281.

Carolyn Cruso, Spotlight in the OffCenter – Orcas’ own Carolyn Cruso offers a wonderfully expressive voice, elegant melodies, and intricate guitar playing. DVSAS bi-annual 5K Run/Walk. Open to all ages and abilities. Registration is $10. Pre-registration & pledge forms at the DVSAS office (Airport Center).  Registration opens at 8:30 am in the covered outside play area at the school. Benefit Art Auction at Aesthetica for cancer patient Douglas Hickman, featuring his woodworking creations along with paintings, toys and jewelry by his wife Lana to help with the cost of his cancer treatment surgery.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Donations can also be made in Douglas Hickman’s name at Key Bank in Eastsound.  Location:  Aesthetica, 269 Main Street, Eastsound.
