County Council Meeting in Friday Harbor, Special Meeting Early Start at 9 a.m. to discuss RFPs for Waste Transfer on Orcas and San Juan Islands. Public Hearings re  on both the CAO Wetlands and CAO Fish and Wildlife Conservation Areas ordinances. Meeting will be videoconferenced at the Orcas and Lopez Public Libraries. Brown Bag Concert with Sharon Abreu and Friends from 12 noon til 12:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Eastsound. The concert is free, and donations fund a music scholarship program which enables students to attend a special music camp each summer. With Mike Hurwicz, Bill Griswold, Grace McCune, Karen Blinn (oboe) and Marianne Lewis (organ and piano) for a musical potpourri, from Mozart to Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein.

Teleconference meeting with the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)  from  10:30 am – 11:15 am. at the Legislative Conference Room in Friday Harbor.

Orcas Island Golf Club 2012 Club Championship. This year the tournament is growing and there will be a more traditional Club Championship. We will have an 18 hole tournament, then the top players from each category will play a match play tournament during the following week. Titles will be award to the last players standing in each division. Player divisions are: Ladies, Senior (55+), Super Senior (70+), Men Low Net, Ladies Low Net, and overall Club Champion. Orcas Angels Car Wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Country Corner. Sponsored by local non-profit, all proceeds support the people of Orcas Island when they unexpectedly hit a time of need.

American Legion Crab and Spaghetti Feed from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post at 793 Crescent Beach Drive.
