Town Hall with Council members Richard Fralick and Patty Miller from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall. Discussion will focus on the County Budget, the Critical Areas Ordinance Update and the Solid Waste Program. An open questions and answers forum will follow the presentations.

San Juan County Council Early Start Special Meeting and Videoconference

Meeting at the Legislative Hearing Room, 55 Second Street, in Friday Harbor.
Early Start Special Meeting Agenda items include: Discussion on acceptance of Land Bank Property, Action on Resolution Adopting the San Juan County 2013 Annual Road Program; Public Hearings on proposed 2013 Budget Ordinances. Videoconference at Lopez and Orcas Public Libraries until noon.
The Council’s regular meeting agenda begins at 10 a.m. The agenda and related materials may be obtained 3 days prior at the County website at sanjuanco.com/council or at the Council offices during each business day between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For more information contact 370-7472.

Wednesday, November 21

“Evening of Gratitude” at 7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Parish Hall. Dessert, coffee and cocoa will be provided by the participating churches. There will not be any service offered, but an open invitation to share expressions of gratitude with the group. All are welcome. Sponsored by the Orcas Council of Churches.

Thursday, November 22 THANKSGIVING

Allium will be open on Thanksgiving, with a three course turkey dinner for $50 per person, which includes tax and tip. Our regular winter hours of operation are Thursdays through Saturdays starting at 5 pm.Please call for reservations 376-4904.

Join Doe Bay Café for Dinner.  The three-course menu will feature a locally inspired appetizer of your choice, free-range organic turkey or a vegetarian option for the main course, and pumpkin pie and more for dessert! Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Odd Fellows Lodge. Odd Fellows will supply the turkeys and tableware. Everyone else brings their beverage of choice and a dish to share from the list below. Annual 2012 Holiday Pet Photos Orcas Professional Photographer, Damien Stark will be photographing dogs and cats and their owners.  Treats and extra props for you and your companion will be provided. Participants will receive a glossy print, free of charge. Donations will be greatly appreciated.  From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Orcas Animal Shelter. No appointment necessary.  Call 376-6777
