The Pea Patch Project is a new collaboration between three of Orcas Island’s community-based organizations: OPAL Community Land Trust, Orcas Community Resource Center and the Orcas Island Food Bank. Having recently acquired property on the north side of Enchanted Forest Road in Eastsound, these three organizations are planning to develop a campus with 20 new affordable rental homes alongside new facilities for the Food Bank and the Community Resource Center that are connected to the neighboring properties and that protect the functioning natural ecosystems on the property. The three organizations have formed a steering team and are currently hiring for key staff roles.

Communications and Engagement Manager for Pea Patch Project – oversee community engagement, DEIJB and project communications for design of a new campus in Eastsound for the Food Bank, Resource Center and OPAL rental housing. 24 – 32 hrs/week.
