Orcas Island Fire and Rescue stretched its limits this morning as two structure fires broke out somewhat simultaneously in the early morning hours of Friday, July 19. (See full stories below) There are no reports of injuries and the fires remain under investigation.

It’s important now, more than ever, to remember that some of these artists that are affected rely heavily upon sales at the Artworks. Seek them out and support them. Some of them sell at the local farmers markets, so please come out and offer them support. It’s never too early to do a little Christmas shopping, and it might lift their spirits.
