High School and Food Bank to Redirect Food Waste |
|
| During the 2025-26 school year, Orcas High School will be partnering with the Orcas Island Food Bank to divert uneaten cafeteria food to farms around the island where it will be used as animal feed. Students will earn community service hours for their volunteer work.

Coalition for Orcas Youth Brings Medication Mailback Program to Orcas |

| The Medicine Mailback Program provides free envelopes to properly dispose of expired or unused medications. Expired or excess medications that are tossed in the trash or flushed down the toilet can have serious consequences for our environment and public health.
