Orcas Center invites you to an electrifying evening with The Black Tones and Sol as part of its  ongoing Summer Concert Series. This free outdoor performance takes place Sunday, August 10 at 5 pm on Eastsound’s Village Green. No tickets needed – just bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a night of community and live music, brought to you FREE by Orcas Center, Doe Bay Resort, GiveOrcas/OICF, and San Juan County as well as many business and individual donors!

The Black Tones
Seattle-based siblings Eva and Cedric Walker lead this electrifying rock ’n’ roll duo. What began in their grandmother’s basement has blossomed into a powerful voice in Seattle’s music scene. NPR, KEXP, Guitar World, AfroPunk, and American Songwriter have praised the band, with NPR declaring they are “redefining Seattle music”

Their debut LP Cobain & Cornbread, recorded by legendary grunge engineer Jack Endino, earned a spot at #17 on KEXP’s Best Albums of 2019 and earned recognition from The Seattle Times as one of the “15 Most Influential Artists of the 2010s”.

Sol
Also hailing from Seattle, solo artist Sol began performing at age 12 and gained acclaim when his 2012 album Yours Truly hit #1 on the iTunes US hiphop chart. Over the past decade, Sol has released multiple albums and organized benefit concerts supporting local artists and disaster relief efforts in Haiti.

Don’t miss this fun in the summer sun! Another great FREE concert thanks to donations from local supporters and businesses!
