Once again, the brave OPALCO employees came to our rescue!
I closed the library early, and headed home, watching for falling branches (or even trees), built a fire and settled in with candles and lanterns.
ONLY 2 hours later, the power was back on. I then went out to check on my sheep and the heater to my frozen pipes, the wind was howling and it was extremely cold. I was only out for less than 10 minutes and couldn’t wait to get back to the fire — I know — OPALCO employees were outside for hours.
Those of us who have been here long enough to go through days with no electricity really appreciate all the work you have done to cut that time down to hours or even minutes. Thank you!

Our excellent Opalco crews, our Manager, and a Great Board all deserve our thanks.
Let us hope that they will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving Day in their warm homes, with NO outages at all to worry about!
