As summer descends with its sunny days and long, lazy afternoons, the Senior Center’s formal technology classes are taking a break, too. But that does not mean there won’t still be opportunities to learn! In July, we will offer free, informal, sessions on a range of topics.

Please sign up in advance at the so our teachers can feel free to cancel if no one shows interest by the day before a class, then everyone can enjoy the warm, summer day. Sign up early at the Orcas Senior Center Front Desk or call 360-376-2677.

Tuesday, July 2: Tech with Evan. Challenge this teen volunteer to answer your questions about your own, specific technological issues.

Tuesday, July 9: Tech with Keith. Engage this local professional to answer your questions about specific technological issues that you have.

Thursday, July 11: Tech with Lincoln. Our newest tech volunteer will try to fix your broken machine. He can assess and advise your repair needs, install software, and even swap hard drives.

Thursday, July 18: Follow-up appointments with Lincoln on repairs and installs.        

Tuesday, July 23: Tech with Kim Rose. Kim will answer your questions about your specific technological issues.

Thursday, July 26: Back to Basics with Gene. Join Rock Island’s Gene Nery to learn about Computer Basics, back by popular demand!
