Mark your calendars and plan to join the Orcas Island Prevention Partnership (OIPP) Coalition on Sunday, May 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center for an evening of music, food and sharing, featuring Swil Kamin, West Coast Native American Violinist.

This event is open to the entire community Donations will be accepted.

Kamin will be joined after his performance by Michael Mele to facilitate a short community forum on “Bringing Together Community – empowering ourselves in mindful ways.”

A featured performer on radio and TV, Swil Kanim has opened for the Indigo Girls, performed for the Dali Lama and recently performed four “sold out” shows at the Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC.

 Children are welcome for the food, fun and performance and optional childcare will be provided during the community forum.
