Move to Amend Meeting at the Eastsound Fire Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on State legislation to address the “Corporate Personhood” decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the Citizens United case.

 OPALCO Board of Directors will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the OPALCO office, 183 Mount Baker Road, Eastsound. The public is welcome to attend.

Travelling Light, a new play by Nicholas Wright, a renowned U.K. playwright, is directed by Nicholas Hytner. Live on-screen in high definition at Orcas Center at 7:30 p.m. It is a funny tribute to the Eastern European immigrants who became major players in Hollywood’s golden age, and features the award-winning actor, Antony Sher. Cost:  $15, $11(students) $2 off for Orcas Center members.

Ghosts I’ve Met at the Doe Bay Café, a creation of singer/songwriter Sam Watt, “like a Gram Parsons or Jay Farrar – generations removed yet tapped into music’s old soul. Watts is a gifted songwriter mature beyond his years, and one only needs to look at songs such as “Reno” to hear the heartfelt quality of his songs.
