The Sustainable Orcas Island meeting this Wednesday will “take a step back and revisit our overall priorities and ideas regarding sustainability,” according to SOI organizer, Phil Heikkinen.
The group, which has met monthly for several years, will revist ares of concern, such as:
- Food and water
- Shelter
- Transportation
- Communication and community security
SOI meets the last Wednesday of each month, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orcas Island Library on Rose Street.
“We will take a look at what we envisioned a couple of years ago and continue on, and include some time to update people on current activities,” says Heikkinen.
