This summer the Orcas Montessori School will be offering a month long summer program for children 3-7 from July 5-28. We will meet Monday through Thursday mornings from 9-1.
Our lead teacher will be Yvonne Post who will be assisted by Jessie Gonzalez. Yvonne brings many years of a classroom experience, teacher training and program creation. She has organized and taught a variety of programs both with young children as well as teens and adults. Her expertise and teaching experience includes cooking, nutrition, sustainable farming, sign language and art.
This summer’s camp will feature the arts from Fine Art to Fiber to Found Material; Hands-on cooking and nutrition; Discovery science, nature and craft projects; Singing with voice and American Sign Language plus lots of good old-fashioned outdoor summer activities.
