Never took a “selfie” before? Now’s your chance!

For those who might not be familiar with the term, a “selfie” is (according to Wikipedia – yes there is a Wikipedia page for this!) “a type of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. They are often casual, are typically taken either with a camera held at arm’s length or in a mirror, and typically include either only the photographer or the photographer and as many people as can be in focus. Selfies taken that involve multiple people are known as “group selfies” or “ussies”.

This foolish new practice (brought to life through technology) seems the perfect medium for April Fools Day.

So, here’s the deal. Send us your “selfie” (or “ussie”) and we will print a photo montage for April Fools Day. Tasteful, stupid, whacky, classic, just go for it. Obviously, X-rated “selfies” are not wanted (we don’t even want to know about them).

Put the camera or cell phone in your hand, hold it at arm’s length, and take a photo of yourself — or you and your friends. Then EMAIL your photo to us with “Selfie” in the subject line and we’ll choose either the best or the worst or the most foolish to print.

Deadline is the 29th of March. C’mon! It will be fun!
