The November show in the Lundeen Room at Orcas Senior Center, seeking to explore the many people from whom present-day Orcas residents are descended, will be “Honoring Our Ancestors.” The center’s Visual Arts Committee is seeking month-long loans of pre-1940 family photos, newspaper clippings, or other artifacts such as quilts or even teapots.
The show will be hung October 30 and taken down November 24, 2-4 PM, when donors are urged to pick up their offerings. Drop-offs — before or on
October 30 — are welcomed at the front desk during Senior Center hours:
Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 AM-4 PM.
Any written information with these memorabilia will be welcomed. All photos or other loans must have a tag with the owner’s name and telephone number clearly printed.
