At the Orcas Garden Tour, I was so taken with the school garden. I saw it several years ago and it was so-so but cool. This time it was amazing, obviously tended and cared for, so many hands working toward making it a center of joyful energy.
Plants along clear pathways boarders of stone and painted rocks hiding beneath plants, the wall of art, the fence line of small pictures, the swimming fish, the dye cloth project.
All whole as a unique communal effort. Much attention to a common goal by the many. On so many levels it has amazing blazing through it.

Judy, this is so heartwarming! To hear that other people see the beauty of what so many hands have built since the beginning of the school garden in 1999 means so much! It has truly become a delightful outdoor classroom for our kids. Anyone who would like to know the whole story of the school garden may find it at http://www.orcasislandf2c.org/the-school-garden!
It was/is a magical place and the produce from it in every form wonderful.
