— from Didier Gincig for Orcas Odd Fellows —
The Odd Fellows provide scholarships to Orcas High graduating students. The scholarship is given to students who have exhibited meaningful community spirit and other qualities that align with the Odd Fellows values of friendship, love, and truth and deep community engagement. Our wood raffle is one means of raising funds for the scholarship.
If you would like to donate towards our scholarship fund but will not have the opportunity to buy a wood raffle ticket in October, please consider sending a donation to PO Box 1286, Eastsound, WA 98245.
By the way, we are also raffling a $150 share of OPALCO’s Community Solar Array, which lowers your OPALCO bill.
Raffle tickets are $3 per ticket or $5 for two tickets or $50 for 20 tickets (or a larger donation if you want to help with the cause).
Please indicate on your donation if you want to be in the raffle towards wood, solar credit, or “please donate” for the cord of wood to go to a family in need.
Thank you for your generosity. We will pick the winning ticket at the Halloween Dance at the Odd Fellows Hall on October 31.
