Swim, bike, run, come have some fun! The Steve Braun Memorial Triathlon is set for September 4 at 8:30am; The race is an exciting event for athletes who want to have fun and push their personal limits, as well as for serious athletes racing against the clock.

The Friends of Moran have co-sponsored this event for the past six years and we are excited to be able to offer this event once again. All proceeds from this event will help raise money for new playground equipment at Moran State Park.

The staging area for the race will be the Cascade Lake picnic shelter at Moran State Park. From there participants will swim .4 miles in Cascade Lake, bike 17 miles on paved road, and run around Cascade Lake to the finish line.  You can compete as a triathlete ($45), a three-person team ($35 per team member), or you can just choose to do one or two legs of the race ($35).

Registration fee includes race entry, a free shirt or coffee mug, snacks and water, and a chance to win one of 16 prizes donated by the local community. Make sure you pre-register, as $10 will be added for all registrations after Sept 2.
