Wednesday, June 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.
With the 2013-2015 transportation budget signed, Washington State Ferries (WSF) directors are heading out to ferry-served communities to discuss the implications of the budget, as well as new vessel construction progress, ferry system performance measures, liquefied natural gas as a source of fuel, and route-specific issues.
“I look forward to visiting the communities and hearing directly from our riders on the issues that affect their everyday travels,” said David Moseley, WSDOT assistant secretary, ferries division. “I always find this feedback valuable and it helps us when we consider making changes to the system.”
A meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, June 12 at County Council Chambers in Friday Harbor, from 5-7 p.m. Council Chambers are located at 55 Second St. (corner of Second and Reed streets). The meeting will also be streamed live from the Orcas and Lopez libraries and on the San Juan County website.
Questions will be taken via email by writing coursem@wsdot.wa.gov
Questions, suggestions and concerns may also be directed to the San Juan Ferry Advisory Committee; State law directs WSF to work with Ferry Advisory Committees to:
- Develop ferry schedules that work
- Resolve customer problems
- Understand regional issues
The Ferry Advisory Committee chair representing your community on the San Juan Islands is Jim Corenman (FAC@sanjuanco.com)
