For those who are Irish, wish they were Irish, or are grateful they’re not Irish, Thursday March 17 marks the 11th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Eastsound.
It promises to be the best parade yet, with floats, marchers, and St. Paddy himself attending the festivities. Past Grand Marshals have included Tony Lee, Mike Lawless. Leigh O’Malley, Miles McCoy, Louise Carnachan, Pete McCorison, Frank Michaels, Jim McKeon, Molly Lyons, and Jim Hamilton. Like most Orcas parades, anyone is welcome to join in, as long as you bring your sense of fun and love o’ the green!
The march will assemble in the Island Market parking lot at 11:30 on the 17th, with the parade to begin at noon. For more information, call Tony Lee at 376-2099
