Hear beautiful singing this weekend in the Orcas Choral Society’s spring concert, featuring Franz Schubert’s Mass in G and the modern premiere of Alois Storch’s Missa Solemnis in C, both with full orchestra. The music plays twice at the Orcas Center, 7:30 p.m., Saturday,April 23 and 2 p.m., Sunday, April 24. Tickets – $15, $5 for students – are available at www.orcascenter.org or by calling 376-2281 ext.1.
If you miss it on the island, catch the concert in Seattle May 1 at St. Mark’s Cathedral, 1245 – 10th Ave., East, 2 p.m. The Seattle concert is free – donations gladly accepted.
