The community is invited to enjoy a gourmet spring brunch prepared by Chef Christina Orchid at the Orcas Island Senior Center. As part of the nationwide March for Meals campaign, on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. the Orcas Island Senior Center hosts a brunch prepared by Orcas Island celebrity chef Christina Orchid to benefit Meals on Wheels and More. The menu includes the following:
- Skagit strawberry blintzes
- Red rabbit farm eggs benedict
- Breakfast potatoes
- Fresh cut fruit salad
- Thick cut bacon
- Oatmeal
Advance tickets cost: $15 Adults, $7 Kids 10 & under; and at the door: $20 Adults, $10 Kids 10 & under. Tickets are available at the Orcas Senior Center. All proceeds will support Meals on Wheels and More to help ensure that no senior goes hungry. The Orcas Island Senior center is located at 62 Henry Road, Eastbound, WA 98245.

Meals on Wheels and More supports the health and independence of older adults in Whatcom and San Juan Counties by:
- Delivering nutritious meals to homebound adults age 60 and over.
- Serving senior meals at local community centers and senior housing.
- Providing nutrition education and nutrition case management.
