Businesses and individuals are being sought to support this wonderful Farm to Cafeteria event for students aspiring to the joys of cooking.  Sponsorships help make it possible to award meaningful prizes and subsidize costs related to holding the event.  Our sponsors are prominently displayed and mentioned throughout the day and at the taco feast immediately  following the competition this year.

How to be a sponsor:
We have four levels from which you may choose:  The Copper Kettle at $50.00, the Silver Spoon at $100.00, The Golden Spatula at $250.00, or the Platinum Platter at $500.00.  We will put all sponsor names in our promotion prior to and during the event.  Simply send a check payable to the Orcas Island Education Foundation (OIEF), with “Student Chef” noted on your check to P.O. Box 782, Eastsound, WA 98245.

The competition will be held in the Middle School Home Ec. Room on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.   The entire community is invited to come watch throughout the day for free.

This year a special Student Chef Celebration and Taco Feast will be held immediately following the Competition.  Tickets for that event are available for just $10 each soon at the Elementary School Office, the High School Office and the Chamber of Commerce.
