Join local songwriters for this intimate musical experience on Sunday, August 4 at 5 p.m. on our Village Green. The In the Round format allows for artists to share their songs as well as the stories and inspiration behind writing them. Each artist is inspired by the piece that went before and can adjust their set list accordingly. Themes arise, running jokes emerge, harmonies are offered. It promises to be an evening of magic, lyrics and melody.
Wielding two guitars, a voice and her gritty yet tender wit, Carolyn Cruso roams the back roads of the country and of the mind taking the listener on a journey of beauty, redemption, compassion and humor. Melody Funk was born to a musical family. For her, singing is as natural as talking. She plays bass, keyboards and oboe, and writes songs about family, relationships and moments that stand out in life.
Lisa Legros was born in Milwaukee and raised in Seattle. She is is a singer, writer and painter. She has recorded and performed at a variety of venues and events throughout the Northwest, and in collaboration with Eric Lovre and Tom Nunes self-released multiple albums.
Madison West is a sensitive and thoughtful Singer-Songwriter with a distinct sound. She has a voice that makes you want to slow down and listen. The lyrics in her songs are filled with images that leave lasting impressions.
