The Lady Vikings Soccer Team, fresh from their State Championship games this weekend, were celebrated in a ceremony today at the High School Gyn, and a parade through town.

Each team member presented Coach Anderson with a flower and thanks for a particular attribute she instilled in the team.

Assistant Coach Bridget O’Toole was also honored by “her” girls.

A video of the team’s final games was shown, with the dramatic “shoot-outs” that and Goalie “saves” that brought victory to La Vikings. Coach Anderson stopped the video at strategic moments to point out the nerve, spirit and discipline the girls exercised throughout the season.

Following the presentation in the packed school gym, the team and their supporters marched through Eastsound.
